ProTracker Cloud – a Hosted Solution |
Cloud computing is the term used to describe the
process of delivering hosted computing services over
the Internet. Computers, software programs and disk
space are all provided and maintained at a secure,
remote host. The subscriber uses any local computer
with Internet access to login and work. The name
"Cloud" comes from the habit of software developers
of representing the Internet as a cloud in design
documents.
ProTracker Cloud is hosted on a secure server so
that you no longer have to maintain client
relationship management software in your office.
With ProTracker Cloud, you can log in to the host
server from anywhere to get to your client data. We
have included the Microsoft Office Suite (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) with ProTracker Cloud
so that you have a fully functional, remote office.
For example, you can create a newsletter to your
clients using merge to Word remotely through
ProTracker Cloud and send it electronically or print
it on the printer in your office.

We require two-factor authentication when
you log in to ProTracker Cloud. This means that
a user name and password is not enough. You also
need a security key the size of a thumb drive,
which you can attach to your car keys. When you
log in to ProTracker Cloud, you press the button
on the security key to get an authentication
number that you enter during the login process.
If you ever lose
your car keys, possession of the security key by
a stranger does not allow access to your data
because the stranger does not know your user
name and password. You are secure! We can
instantly cancel your lost security key with a
phone call.
Two-factor authentication inherently makes
ProTracker Cloud compliant with the new
information security laws in all states.

With ProTracker Cloud, we install the
programs, keep them up-to-date, and back up your
information each night. You will be able to
quantify your IT expenses and can plan
accordingly. Additional programs can be
installed by our strategic partner, IVDesk.
